Spelling
No spelling words this week! We have the Rosary service on Monday morning, and no school on Friday!

Reading
Story of the week:
The Bug Bath
We did a lot of assessment for report cards this week! Many of the children read by themselves with me this week or at the end of last week. I also tested the children on their sight words. I am so impressed! I can tell many of you have been working hard at home!

Writing
Author Study:
None this week- we will read seasonal books!
This week we will still work on making sure we have a beginning, middle, and end. We are going to be working very hard on putting the story in the order that it happened.

Math
Ch 4 math test on Monday, October 19. We will then move on to strategies we can use for addition.

Religion
We will be learning about the Glorious Mysteries this week.
We will attend a Rosary service in the church on Monday, October 19. Please join us if you are able!
We practiced saying the Rosary with real beads this week! Ask your child about it!

Science
We will finish up our unit about plants. Science test on Thursday, October 22.

Each conference is only scheduled for 15 minutes. If for some reason you may need more time, we will schedule a separate time, so that I can stay on schedule for everyone. Thank you!
