Reading- Story of the week:Max the Cat We are starting reading groups this week!!! I am so excited! I will meet with each group 2-3 times per week. Right now, we will be working on looking all the way through words and listening to ourselves to be sure what we say looks right and sounds right.
Writing We will work on choosing good details to add to our story idea. We will also be learning about plurals.
Math We will be starting addition to 10 this week. We will do lots of hands-on learning with dice and playing cards and the SmartBoard! It will be lots of fun!
Religion Religion test on Tuesday, September 8 over Chapter 2. The pages from the chapter are in the work folder today. Next week will learn how Jesus grew up in a family- just like us.
Things of Note:

*The reading book came home today! Please have your child read the story of the week each night. The reading book needs to be put into your child’s backpack and sent back to school each night. Thank you for your help with this!

Reading Reviews are due on Friday!

Each child needs to bring 3 book socks to school. (if you have done this, please disregard) We need one for our Science book, our Music book, and our Reading book. Please send these in next week. Thank you!


Remember: if you arrive at school after the crossing guards have gone in, you must go to the office for a tardy slip.
