Reading-Story of the week: Stan’s Stunt
We are still working on what to do when we come to a word we don’t know. I am prompting the kids to check the picture, make the first sound and think about the story, and then search through the word and slowly make the sounds. This helps them learn how to help themselves during reading.
Writing-We finished reading stories from the Old Testament, and have begun reading stories from the New Testament. We are still working on being able to identify action words (verbs), and using them in our writing.
Math- We will practice using strategies to help us solve subtraction problems. Please practice subtraction flashcards each night.
Religion- Advent Quiz on Monday, December 6. Study guide is in today’s folder. We will begin going through the events of Jesus’ birth.
