Becker Bunch News for January 16

Spelling-Dear Parents, we will continue with the same words this next week. My being out one day through everything off schedule.
Mrs. Becker’s group: bake, chase, frame, safe, made, wake
Mrs. Hamm’s group: drop, drag, drip, drum, drug
Sight word: came
Reading- We are working on listening to ourselves as we read; and, correcting ourselves if something doesn’t sound right or look right. I will be pushing the kids hard this 9 weeks in reading to work to continue to extend their reading abilities.
Writing- This week, we are learning to revise while using a revision chart. The revision chart is helping us plan how we will revise our stories.
Math- We are still working on place value to 100 this week.
Religion- We are learning how the Holy Spirit helps the Church grow. Religion tests are in the folder- the better of the two grades is stapled on top.

Events coming up next week:

Monday, January 19- NO School in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Don’t forget to bring in change for our Baby Bottle campaign for Heart to Heart Pregnancy Center.

Catholic Schools Week will kick off on January 25, with a Pancake breakfast after 10:00 mass.
