Spelling- back, sack, stack, track, brick,chick, stick, thick, trick
Sight word: black
Reading- Story of the week: Greg’s Mask. We are working on retelling the story and identifying the main characters.
Writing- We are reading from the New Testament. We are learning about Jesus’ life as he began teaching. We are still working on being able to identify action words (verbs), and using them in our writing.
Math- We will start learning about place value. We will learn 1’s, 10’s, and 100’s.
Religion- We will learn about Jesus and His followers.
Social Studies- We will be learning about Our Country.
Things of Note:
I hope you enjoy your Christmas break, and take time to stop and reflect on how much our God loves us as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
We have a pretty quiet week when we return from the break.
No school December 18-January 2!
School will resume January 3.
When we return from Christmas break, we will begin the 3rd nine weeks. Can you believe we are halfway through this first grade year??
