Pumpkin fun

We had so much fun cleaning and carving our pumpkin! Once we cleaned the pumpkin and sorted the seeds from the pulp, we estimated how many seeds were in the pumpkin. Then we counted them to see who had the best guess. SM and CJH had the closest guesses! We had 145 seeds in our pumpkin. SM guessed 100 and CJH guessed 200. Great guesses!!! Then we cooked the seeds on a hot plate. This year, I tried a new recipe, and it was delicious!!! All but 4 students loved the seeds, and asked for seconds. We even shared with the other first grade! We had a great day!
