brownie, brownie, brownie.....

Well, Brownie DID make an appearance this afternoon. After all was quiet, I decided to get her out of the cage and into her ball for some exercise. (After all, we did some research on hamsters and discovered they need lots of exercise.) So, Brownie is running all over the classroom in her little purple ball; and, I glance over and notice that she is not in the ball- she is sitting on the little round lid to her ball. I go towards her to get her (knowing that I won't get her), and she runs under the closet door and into the closet. She ran right under the heating and air unit! The heat and air unit sits on a raised pedestal that has a wooden cross bar under it. Which means that I cannot fit under it to reach her. Every time she would run to a place I would have been able to get her, she realized what I was doing and ran back further. I called for Tyler to come over and help me, and quickly realized he was having no part of it.
So, I sent him to ASC to get someone. He saunters back and tells me that he can't find anyone! For the love of Pete, child, go find someone small enough to reach back in here!!! Off he goes again. As I am on all fours, with my rear in the air, in walks Mrs. Cannon to ask me a question...other than, "What are you doing?!". I explain the situation to her as I am emptying the contents of my closet.
Thank goodness that CJ came to the rescue with Chloe. While Mrs. Cannon held a yard stick to block Brownie's progress any further across the closet, CJ waited at one end, and Chloe swooped in and grabbed her. Whew!
Brownie is now safe and sound in her cage....where she should probably stay for a while!! Or at least until Mrs. Becker gets all this hamster paraphernalia figured out!!

Never a dull moment I see. Sean has also been talking about the new pet. But of course he calls him something totally different.
